Nature's Art
An ancient Chinese word, Li, speaks of an inherent perfection in the way that nature is formed. It's found in the way that waves ripple on the surface of a pond, in the way that leaves scatter over a forest floor, and in the way that lichen grows on the surface of an old weathered stone. This section of the site is devoted to images of Li -- these are not photos where a certain angle or lighting created an 'artistic' effect, but rather blatantly obvious and stunningly beautiful examples of Nature's ability to create pleasing forms out of the flow of water, the forces of erosion, the colors in a leaf, or the formation of ice. As with all sections of this site, we'll be adding to it periodically. Enjoy, and next time you're out for a walk see if you can find your own examples of Li. Come and see -- Nature's Ice Art
